FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know before your first visit

Clear answers to the most common questions from our patients — from implant costs to emergency booking.

The price of an implant varies depending on the brand, case complexity, and any adjuvant procedures required (bone graft, membrane). The initial consultation includes an X-ray evaluation and a detailed written treatment plan with itemised costs, with no obligation to proceed.

Typically 3–5 visits: initial assessment with imaging, implant placement, a check-up at 7–10 days, abutment connection (3–6 months after placement), and fitting of the final crown.

Usually 3–6 months. The implant requires 2–4 months for osseointegration (fusing with the bone) before it can be loaded with a crown. In selected cases an immediate implant protocol may shorten the timeline.

Placement is performed under local anaesthetic and is painless. Post-operatively you may experience mild discomfort and slight swelling for 2–3 days, easily managed with standard anti-inflammatories. Most patients return to normal activity the following day.

Local anaesthesia by injection into the treatment area. General anaesthesia is not required for routine procedures. For highly anxious patients we offer conscious sedation with nitrous oxide (laughing gas) on request.

Immediate tissue healing takes 7–10 days. Full osseointegration takes 2–4 months. During this period the implant is not loaded for chewing, but the patient can carry out normal daily activities.

First 24 hours: cold or room-temperature, soft foods (yoghurt, smoothies, cool soup). Avoid alcohol, tobacco, and hard foods for at least 2 weeks. Do not take aspirin as a painkiller — it increases the risk of bleeding.

TayDen Medical operates as a private clinic. Treatments are not reimbursed by the Romanian public health system (CNAS). Some private health insurance policies may partially cover dental treatments — check your policy's terms before your appointment.

An implant replaces the root of a missing tooth (titanium screw + crown). A crown is a cap that covers an existing damaged or root-canal-treated tooth. A veneer is a thin ceramic shell bonded to the front face of a tooth, used purely for aesthetics.

Zirconia and full-ceramic crowns last 10–15+ years with proper care. Ceramic veneers last 10–20 years. Longevity depends on oral hygiene, chewing habits, and regular check-up visits.

No — it is performed under local anaesthetic and is painless. Most teeth require 1–2 sessions. Complex multi-rooted teeth may need 3 sessions. Mild sensitivity for 1–2 days post-procedure is normal.

Professional in-chair whitening uses a peroxide gel activated with light to achieve 4–8 shades of whitening in a single ~60-minute session. Results last 1–3 years depending on diet and smoking habits. We also offer a take-home maintenance kit.
